Step One:

• Begin at the lowest elevation.
• Determine line and height of wall.
• Dig a trench 6 ” deep and 18” wide.
• Fill the trench halfway with level, compacted gravel. (3/4 minus crushed recommended)

Step Two:

• Place a string line along length of wall face.
• Install first course of blocks. Check for level side-to-side and front-to-back.
• Fill between and behind the blocks with gravel.
• Brush excess gravel from top of blocks.

Step Three:

• Place Stonewall pins in the top of the placed course.
• Position next course of block on top of the first, aligning the trough over the pins, utilizing the cross bond pattern.

Step Four:

Continue leveling from side-to- side and front-to-back, compact gravel behind the wall.

Step Five:

Finish off by landscaping surrounding area. Sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor for years to come.
